March Shoot - COWBOYS & ALIENS

Our first of the year 2012 shoot. March 10, setup 8:30, safety brief 9:30, shooting begins 10:00.
Five great stages. Lots of shooting. The round count is 40 revolver, 50 rifle, 42 shotgun (plus miss make-ups). You will need two, plus boxes of shotshells.
Doc Sawdust has personally imported alien persons directly from Roswell NM for the trophies.
Doc is tired of watching that DVD to come up with a good set of scenarios.

Cowboy Action Shooting?

What is cowboy action shooting? A celebration of the Old West. Shootists adopt a period alias, dress in western costume, and shoot single action revolvers, pistol caliber lever rifles, and side by side shotguns. Shooting is on the clock with penalties for misses and procedural errors. We stage seven shoots per year. Want to try cowboy action shooting? Visitors and observers are welcome at our shoots. Come out and shoot our guns. Bring eye and ear protection.

The Thursday Shooting Group

An informal group of RRPC members and friends meets (usually) Thursdays at 10:30 AM on the RRPC outdoor ranges. We shoot all types of gun and we welcome all. Old hands come sharpen your skills. If you are new to shooting, we will either help you, or not. Try out our guns if you are wondering about that new acquisition. Non-members should call Dick (434-973-8759) or Bob (434-990-4223) so we can get you through the gates. All things considered, the comradery is great.
